In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the Metaverse offers unprecedented opportunities to reimagine how teaching and learning take place in higher education. Drawing on real-world implementation and research insights from the design and development of a Metaverse-based e-pedagogy (MeP) for health science education, this presentation explores how immersive virtual environments can foster active learning, collaboration, and deep engagement. The speaker will share a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach to developing and evaluating metaverse-integrated pedagogy, highlighting its potential to bridge physical and digital divides in global education. Attendees will gain practical strategies, implementation frameworks, and reflections on challenges and successes in creating impactful learning experiences in the Metaverse.
